Urgent Help
Can you help?
· This school is the only possibility for children in the area to receive an education and enhance their future prospects.
· Given its great distance from the capital and the difficulty in access to the village, the state has neglected the school. As a consequence the teachers often work without being paid which, when combined with the difficulties of living in the region, mean that many teachers don't want to work there.
· The school has survived thanks to the support that the Parents' Association has provided by paying some of the teachers' wages. However, after a recent hurricane damaged part of the school buildings, the support of parents and students alike has been swallowed up by rebuilding the school, physically and covering the costs involved.
· Since the parents' association is unable to cover all the current costs, AFRICAT has decided to commit funds towards part of the teachers' wages. We're asking for your support to help us commit to this vitally important school.
· If you want to sponsor a teacher at the rural school in Kibula Matadi and contribute to the education of children in the region, please complete the form with the your details.
Thank you.
